Baby Teething SymptomsEvery baby has his or he own individuality, hence the process of eruption of teeth can be quite different. In the sense that
the baby
teething symptoms
that
they
have, and their reaction in overcoming it. Although not all
babies
have the
same symptoms, there are still a few common ones that are observable in
general. When baby teething symptoms starts to appear, this normally occurs during the third month, these symptoms can be a disaster not only to babies, but to parents as well. Parents might start to face sleepless night caused by the baby. Although sleepless night cannot be avoided, parents still can have their ways to predict when their baby starts teething and get themselves ready for that. As the fact that
babies react individually,
parents
should be prepared when common baby teething symptoms are found on
their
baby. The first baby teething symptoms is the tendency of babies to put objects into their mouth. Why children like to chew at this time? This is because when chewing an object, the pressure produced in the gums will help to sooth the child and reducing the discomfort that growing teeth may bring. For safety
purposes, parent must keep all sharp items away from the reach of
their children and
provide
them with some chewing accessories like baby
teething rings or frozen waffle. If you are on
tight budget, you may want to consider rubber
teething rings as it is cheaper and readily
available. Another popular remedy for baby teething symptoms
is gripe
water for babies though it is more often used for baby colic. Other than the above, irritability is also one of the common baby teething symptoms. It is often accompanied with the increasing sore gums when teeth are ready to break through the surface of the skin. When the baby's teeth starts to grow, the numb pain might cause the baby to be irritated, hence turning the baby to be fuzzier than ever. However, after the first time, the child itself will have his or her own way of expressing it. He or she will learn how to deal with the experience. The third symptom is shown when the baby is around three or four months old. They start to drool more often than usual. As parents may not have realized, teething and drooling is closely connected and is part of the baby teething symptoms. Another
symptom
closely connected to drooling will be cough. Due to the extra saliva
provided
in the mouth of the infant, it will gag
and cough. In this situation, unless the baby is suffering
from cold
symptoms like having cold or flu, if not, there is nothing to be
worried about.
Lastly, when the baby starts drooling excessively, there will be some rashes appearing around the mouth area. Due to the flow of saliva, the skin around the mouth is constantly wet. To ease this problem, prepare a napkin for your infant. Constantly
wipe
the
chin and also mouth few times a day, or when you notice it is getting
wet. As
babies skin are softer than adults, the action above needs to be
carried on in
a gently manner. Rough wiping will only cause the skin to be
more
irritated. Lastly,
baby
teething symptoms may cause pain in
cheek and ears as well. If you notice that your baby is pulling
their ears
or rubbing their cheek to ease the pain, you should not worry about it
too much
because the pain will
go off
once the teeth break out from the gum. |
